Iliana has been home for a week now. We are getting ourselves accustomed to her new equipment. She is sleeping well at night and ready to go in the morning. I don't know if it is the breathing machine, the changes in her medication, or maybe even a combination of both, but she is much more alert and responsive. She has been having seizures these last two days, but it has not been serious enough to require a hospital visit. Praise the Lord!!

Developmentally, Iliana is beginning to hold her head correctly more often. She will let it fall back, but soon after is lifting it up again. Her teacher, Ms. Lisa, came by this morning and we were both commenting on how alert and playful she was. She wanted to play with toys and wanted to interact.

Dwight and I have been trying to teach ourselves to always look for God's blessings, even in the midst of trouble. It's something we would like to teach our children. It's too easy to get wrapped up in the negative and linger there. It is he that said to me during this last hospital visit, "these doctors don't know anything, besides God is in control". God used that little phrase to help me get my perspective back. Let me just add that trusting God is not always easy, but the more you do it, the more natural the action becomes. It's easier said than done, but completely worth it.

God is certainly blessing us and we look forward to seeing God continue His work in her life and ours.
